Sardine
Description: Sardines are a bullet shaped fish with a greeny olive coloured back or blue which fades to a silvery colour. They have small black spots on their mid section and raised ridges on their gills.
Where does it live: The North Sea, The Mediterranean and Africa.
When is it in season: February to April and June to October.
What does it eat: Crustaceans and planktonic creatures.
Size: 10-20cm.
