Red Mullet

Description: As its name suggests this fish is red. It’s has a white underbelly with faint yellow stripes, like a sunset, running from gills to tail.

Where does it live: The Mediterranean Sea, Africa and all around UK waters mainly the southern half.

When is it in season: May to November.

What does it eat: They feed mainly on the seabed and will eat small worms, lobster, crab and other small shellfish.

Size: 20-35cm.
