Pollack
Description: Pollack is a greenish olive grey coloured with small yellow or orange spots on its sides. Loosely related to the Cod, Pollack don’t have the chin “whisker” that Cod have. They have a protruding lower jaw.
Where does it live: The Atlantic and The North Sea.
When is it in season: May to September.
What does it eat: Plankton when they are a juveniles and other fish when they are matured. Pollock are quite cannibalistic.
Size: 40-50cm.
