Monkfish

Description: You cannot mistake the Monkfish! It’s a little scary looking with a wild eyed, big toothed head. They are greeny yellow with pinkish highlights. A unique fish indeed they have been likened to a gargoyle. You would only normally see the tail of the fish, already skinned.

Where does it live: The Atlantic, The North Sean and all around Europe.

When is it in season: November to June.

What does it eat: Monkfish will eat almost anything including many other fish and crustaceans.

Size: (Tail) 15-30cm.
