Red Mullet

A striking looking fish with a mix of red, orange and pink. Red Mullet are not huge fish ranging in size up to 1kg but they are strong in flavour thanks to the fish’s diet of crustaceans.

The large fish can be filleted but smaller ones simply require scaling. The flesh can be delicate so caution must be taken when handling Red Mullet.
