Lemon Sole
Description: Much lighter in colour than the Dover Sole, Lemon Sole are a light stone or brown colour and have fins running the length of their bodies either side. They do not taste of Lemon despite their name. They are not closely related to the dover sole and belong to an entirely different genus.
Where does it live: Northern European waters and all around the UK shore.
When is it in season: September to February are the best months to enjoy Lemon Sole. They spawn November to January and will be in poor condition during this time.
What does it eat: They feed off the seabed and eat small worms and other small creatures found there.
Size: 25-35cm.
